Editorial Policy

This page sets out how Competitor Report produces its coverage.

Public sources only

Everything we publish about a company comes from public, ethically obtained information: public web pages, pricing pages, changelogs, documentation, job listings, reviews, and public filings. We do not impersonate customers to obtain private pricing, and we do not use scraped private data.

We publish what we can verify

Prices and product facts are stated with a date and, where possible, a linked source. When something is an interpretation rather than a fact — why a competitor likely made a move — we say so. We would rather show an honest “we don’t know” than a confident guess.

Dated and revisited

Competitive information goes stale. Where we track changes over time, we keep dated records and update analyses when the underlying facts change.

Independence and disclosure

We are not affiliated with the companies we cover and we do not sell coverage or guest posts. Affiliate links to tools, where used, are disclosed and never determine our recommendations.

Respecting the companies we cover

We describe and analyse; we do not republish others’ copyrighted material wholesale. If a company believes we have made an error, our corrections process is open to them.
